NIHR Research Design Service East Midlands
Description
The National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) funds Research Design Service East Midlands (RDS EM) which is one of 10 regional services across England providing design and methodological support to health researchers who are developing research funding applications. RDS EM supports research teams to develop and submit high quality applied health and social care grant applications to NIHR and other open, national, peer-reviewed funding programmes.
Public involvement in research
RDS offers researchers:
- financial support via the public involvement fund (PIF),
- advice and support for researchers from public involvement experts,
- access to our public contributors’ service
- reviews from our scientific panel
- workshops that teach researchers how to integrate public involvement in research design (calendar of events http://www.rds-eastmidlands.nihr.ac.uk/events?tag=EventsWorkshops) ,
- information on relevant groups and networks locally and nationally,
